Parkly and Innogreen created this parklet as part of an experiment run by the city of Helsinki to examine how green walls can serve as a barrier against traffic noise, while also creating a cool place to sit on a hot day and hosting pollinator-friendly plants.
Lauriston Farm is in North West Edinburgh, overlooking the Firth of Forth. Despite a long history of food production, it was solely being used for intermittent grazing and silage production, until it was taken on by Edinburgh Agroecology Coop in 2021 with three priorities - food production, biodiversity and community.
The Wild Street by Jan Kattein Architects completes a new connection between a Primary School and community hall. While continuing to allow emergency vehicle access, every available scrap of tarmac has been removed to make way for rain gardens, trees and above-ground planters for the school to cultivate.
Fieldwork Facility and Hammersmith and Fulham Council invite local residents and visitors to become 'wild hedonists' in a campaign to communicate their activity around nature and ecology across the borough, and promote ways to engage with nature.
